Honda unveils Unicorn variant

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) on Monday said it was conducting a feasibility study for a new plant to cater to the increased demand. The company also indicated that it was working on a fuel injection powered bike, a 100cc bike and a new scooter.

"A new plant will only come up once our existing capacity of 1.2 million units is fully utilised, which can take another couple of years,'' HMSI CEO and President Yukihiro Aoshima told media persons here at the launch function of an upgraded variant of its 150 cc bike Unicorn.
The new variant will be priced at Rs. 58,150 (ex-showroom Delhi) and will be formally rolled out for sales in the first week of April.

HMSI will also introduce a limited edition Unicorn, priced at Rs. 59,425 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The company has also plans to introduce a new scooter and a facelift version of its sub-150cc bike, Honda Shine, next fiscal.
